Strategic Briefs and Rationales
I have written several supporting documents to describe my design work. Ever project begins with a strategic brief which describes the goals, deadlines, and any specific requirements. The intent is to have a clear agreement between myself and the client before any design work begins. The rationale is written after the project is completed. Its purpose is to ensure the client fully understands the reasoning behind every design decision. This adds value to the products of my labour and helps the client stay in the loop throughout the design process.
